The Black & White String Quartet is committed to giving your event an elegant and luxurious atmosphere. Performing at anything from wedding ceremonies to holiday dinner parties, graduation events to company galas, they are ready to make your party the talk of the town, bringing the highest level fo refinement, style and class. Whether performing for a discerning audience or rocking out with a band at open mic night, they demonstrate a passionate approach to everything they do.
They offer a wide range of repertoire and have a lengthy song list with everything from classical music favorites by Mozart, Bach, Brahms, Schubert, Handel, Haydn, and Beethoven to contemporary covers from Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Adele, Elvis Presley, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Sigur Ros, and more. Devoted to making sure you hear the songs you long for, they take requests and if they don't have the sheet music already, they'll arrange it just for you.
Classically trained, the quartet brings with them over a decade of experience together. BWSQ has been playing together since 2003 while at Utah State University pursing their undergraduate degrees in music performance. Each musician accomplished in their own niches, they are highly sought after in their various specialties, from coaching high school chamber music groups and teaching young children to recording in film studios and performing with the Utah Symphony. They have boasted performances across Utah, California, Texas, Colorado, Ohio, Michigan, New York, and Connecticut. Internationally, their career opportunities have taken them to Canada, Germany, Austria, England, France, Italy, and China.

The string quartet is our most popular ensemble. It is composed of the traditional two violins, viola, and cello. Our string quartet can fill most rooms and adds an elegant musical atmosphere to any event.
The string trio is a smaller ensemble composed of a violin, viola, and cello. It is perfect for smaller events where a more intimate experience is desired.
'CHelō is our most unique ensemble. Two cellos provide a more personal musical experience as compared with larger ensembles. The timber of two cellos blends beautifully together to create a delightfully exclusive and delicate atmosphere.
